Admitted to the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and District of Columbia bars, Michelle received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1993. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Washington College in 1991. Michelle started her law career representing claimants. She joined Mason, Ketterman & Morgan, P.A. in 1999 and is now a principal with Zauner & Mtimet, P.A. which has been assigned an “AV” rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Directory. Michelle's practice is 100% devoted to representing Employers and Insurers for the defense of workers' compensation and liability claims.
She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the Maryland State Bar Association. Michelle is a past presenter before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Education Association and Council on Education in Management.
Michelle has been practicing worker’s compensation law for over 28 years, with over 20 years of experience defending Employers and Insurers in Workers’ Compensation matters and insurance defense. She has also handled pension hearings for select municipal clients. Michelle’s clients include self-insured employers, insurance carriers, hospital systems, and several municipalities.
Outside of the office, Michelle spends time with her family. She enjoys watching lacrosse and baseball.

He received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1970. Mr. Lipshultz began his legal career with the law firm of Friedman & Lipshultz in 1971 and later became a principal in the law firm of Lipshultz and Hone in 1972. He now practices in the law firm of Zauner & Mtimet P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Lipshultz is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and The District of Columbia Bar Association.
Mr. Lipshultz has also lectured for MICPEL and MSBA in their presentations on Hot Tips in Workers' Compensation. He has lectured at Maryland State Bar Association and Maryland Workers Compensation Educational Association and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association on the aspect of Medicare Secondary Payer and Medicare Set Aside Trusts. He has served as a panel member for ABA Teleconference Medicare Liens in Workers' Compensation Cases a Minefield for the Defense and Plaintiff's Bar on September 17, 2002. In January 2010 he, along with Commissioners Karl Aumann and Maureen Quinn presented a seminar to the Maryland State Bar Association on How to Get Your Settlements Approved under the new COMAR Regulations.
Mr. Lipshultz is a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional as well as a past instructor for the program. He has served an unprecedented three terms as Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Negligence Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Section last serving in 2012-2013. He is currently on the Board of the Maryland Workers Compensation Educational Association and served as their President.
Admitted to Maryland State Bar in 2002, California State Bar in 2005, and District of Columbia Bar in 2014, Melanie brings over 20 years of Workers' Compensation defense experience.
